Introducing: Matt Morash (Chester Municipal Chair)

Our beautiful community is in need of a cohesive and safer streetscape. Integrating sidewalks, boardwalks, and safe cycling will create a happier and healthier community. The number one influencer which mitigates adverse mental health is ease of accessibility, this is especially true during the Covid-19 pandemic when community members are limited in what activities they can engage in. Personally, I've struggled with my mental health during my life, especially during the pandemic and also a few years back when our family was in a car accident, just days before our first born Lily arrived.

We are mobilizing to change the outlook and are looking for support in moving forward. Currently pedestrians feel disjointed and that they are unable to safely walk their streets. Fast traffic, the designation of highways, and a lack of walkable space has taken a toll.

In order to accomplish our goals we need the help and partnership of residents, vacation dwellers, two municipalities, the province, and the federal government. This will be no small task but our enthusiastic committee is up for the challenge!

Thank you in advance for your support, engagement, and contributions to our efforts.
